WSA PERIODIZATION
The systematic planning of training and competition, with an aim to reach peak performances at optimal times.
The training is designed within micro, meso, and macro cycles phases.
It involves progressive cycling of phases during a specific period of time.

YEARLY TRAINING PLAN: "Bi-CYCLE" (2 seasons of competition)
The illustration of a Yearly Training Plan (YTP) below can generally be universally applied across age divisions.
It is constructed of the building components: Macro, Meso, and Micro Cycle Phases of training.
* The YTP will require more intricate revisions for each age division.
The Bi-Cycle Yearly Training Plan will also shift for teams qualifying for post season, in which the transition phase is shrunk, and next Prep Phase is modified, and for Pro-Am teams who play one longer season without mid-year holiday.

MICROCYLE MATCH DAY PERSPECTIVE FOR U13+
A one week perspective on training within a microcycle during competition phase.
This microcycle is based on "Tactical" Periodization. WSA will adapt a "Tactical" Periodization approach for 13U+.

TACTICAL PERIODIZATION - THE WSA WAY
The WSA Way applies Tactical Periodization to the training methodology. While all dimensions of the player are still considered in the periodization schedule, the tactical element is the "overarching" dimension of the game.
