LEADING

"THE VISION TO SEE PLAYERS FOR WHO THEY CAN BE IN LIGHT OF WHO THEY ARE"

THE WSA WAY PREREQUESITES OF LEADING

BE RIGHT - to lead right.   You are transparent, known, and vulnerable.  Character is the first step towards leadership of anything worthwhile.  It is possible to lead many, the wrong path, when true character is not the premise.
SERVE - Your influence and authority reaches as far as your heart is for those you lead. Serve others.
WORK - Let them see you do before you tell them what to do.
FOLLOW - Be obedient to authority, to other leadership, and those you lead.  Humility and servant character required to follow are the foundation of strong leadership.
HONOR - Be honest, even when that is not popular.  Your leadership objective will be a function of right decisions and right words, at right times, not popular decisions or kind words.
PRAY - Enlighten your plan on behalf of others by seeking out His plan for your flock.
BELIEVE - Believe in your followers, their power, their capacity you will render, and believe in the plan set forth which you will lead.
"It is better to believe in men too rashly, and regret, than to believe too uncertainly.
Men could be more than they ought, if they would try for it.
Those who look in mankind for their own littleness, and make them believe in that,
kill more than he ever will in all his wars."

-- Sir Alexander the Great

WSA WAY LEADERSHIP TRI-POD

AUTHORITY

The title or position.  It may have been earned, or given; deserved or undeserved; wanted or unwanted. With the Authority comes Responsibility and Accountability.

QUALITY

The traits of leadership that render a person qualified to move others. These traits are both derived from Inherent Gifts of the Divine, and Gifts Produced and Refined by your experience, work, and intentionality.

CREDIBILITY

The trust, respect and honor earned by your consistency, loyalty, faithfulness, trusthworthiness, trust-willingness, and personhood.  This last pillar of leadership begins, and end, with your Character.
